Change Your Address When Moving to Florida

When moving to a new home, changing your address should be one of the first things on your to-do list. While it may seem as simple as updating the location where you receive mail, there are several other places where you will also need to change your address.

The best place to start is changing your address with the U.S. Postal Service. To do this, click here. When you complete this process, you can not only change your address but also have your mail forwarded to your new address for several months after you move.

Another place you will need to change your address is with the Florida DMV. For more information on how to do that, click here.

Additionally, you will want to update your address with your bank and credit card companies, your doctor’s offices and any mail subscriptions you have in place. Notify your friends and family of your new address so they know where you live if they need to send you something.
