Cooper City, FL – Area Spotlight

Founded in 1959, Cooper City, Florida is a growing community in the Miami metropolitan area. Cooper City real estate is in a construction boom that began in 2006 when the city obtained sections of Waldrep Dairy Farm.

Rated one of the “Best 10 Towns for Families” by Family Circle Magazine in 2007, and with over 51% of its households including children, Cooper City is a perfect place to call home. Its public schools consistently hold “A” ratings, from elementary to high school levels. Cooper City is also pet-friendly thanks to its “Bark Park” that recently opened followed a ribbon-cutting ceremony that featured outstanding attendance.

The United States Pro Cricket league also housed one of its founding members in Cooper City. Though now disbanded, the Florida Thunder competed in the Eastern Conference.

Certified as a “Wildlife-Friendly City” by the National Wildlife Federation, Cooper City has dedicated residents who work with the city’s Green Advisory Board to create sustainable landscapes and beautify urban areas. With the notable tagline, “Someplace Special,” Cooper City, Florida vows to uphold that statement and always goes the extra mile to make sure residents take great pride in their community.
